What is volunteering at Grandsons like?
People find volunteering at Grandsons a profound experience, which often changes their whole outlook. Be prepared for a culture shock, but one thing we all agree on - the boys are fantastic. View the "personal experiences" section, read the comments on the forum, or post a message asking past volunteers this question.
What should I take on my volunteer placement to Grandsons?
The most important thing to take is an open-minded outlook as to an entirely different way of life, and a willingness to get involved! Materially, craft supplies, activities, or any football related items would be much appreciated. Or better still, the funds to buy these things locally, so helping the community economy. Visit the forum for further suggestions!
What does Africa Watoto Friends of Grandsons do?
Africa Watoto's aim is to help the center by providing information about the GOA projects and its needs. We also want to help volunteers with any queries that they might have before they go there so they can make the best of it.
