On 17th October 2009 Katie and Nicky ran 10K in Richmond London, to raise money for Grandsons of Abraham Rescue Centre, a street children's shelter in Kenya.

Grandsons currently cares for approximately 60 children aged 4-18. Many are extremely traumatised by their time on the streets. All have had glue or drug problems. Some have been involved in prostitution or serious crime. Others have been street-fighters – forced to fight other boys for the amusement of gangs. Many suffer from ringworm, threadworm, and genito-urinary infections. 10-20% regularly wet the bed. Malaria infections are common.

Katie and Nicky's wonderful friend Fiona Coady is currently working with Grandsons Founder, board of trustees and fellow
volunteers to improve the care available for the boys. It is a tough task and they are in desperate need of supplies. So, we are aiming to raise money to ship out essential supplies such as clothes, cleaning equipment and medical materials.
