Hello everybody I am Sharyn Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I commited myself cycling 70 miles and running a half marathon during 2010 to help disadvantaged street children in Kenya. Sponsor me online its completely safe and WILL change children's life. During my time volunteering in Kenya I was touched by these boys and their fight for survival on the streets. Some of the boys are orphans, other have been addicted to glue because their mother has fed it to them to suppress their appetites. Other boys have been abused, most go hungry looking for food and sleep in the trees so they do not get arrested by the police. Unlike the UK, the education system in Kenya is not free. When these boys leave Kenyan rescue centres at 16 years old or younger, they will end up living and working on the streets again risking their lives, being abused or worse. I want to help give these boys the opportunity to high school to become someone, to get a job where they can one support themselves and their families.
