Alex

Name: Alex
Age: 15

I am Alex, I was born in 1995 and I like learning. I was at Grandsons of Abraham Rescue Centre and they took me to school. I learnt until Standard 6. I have been out of school for one year, and until now I am just staying without learning or any knowledge to mind.

I want to go back to school and continue with my work. I am always worrying about how I will be in the future and how I will help my family. My family have a lot of trouble, and I don’t know who will help me to go back to school. If I think about my family I start to cry as we are very poor people.

I would like to be a pilot, to fly volunteers to this country. I want to be this because I am such a hard worker. If I go back to school again I will be very happy. School is very important to my future and to my nation’s future.

If I see other children going to school I wish it was me. Education is the key of life, without education nothing is good.

Sponsoring a child

Consider sponsoring a boy through secondary school. Secondary education in Kenya lasts for a maximum of 4 years and for a total cost of between just £25 to £40 per month (different school fees vary) you could pay for the keep and education of a boy, making an unbelieveable difference to his life. Alternatively, you can sponsor a child to pay for the clothes and food at any amount you would like.

Updates from the sponsored child will be sent directly from Kenya. Donors may also visit the rescue center to see the difference their gifts are making to the children..
