Name: Buddy
Age: 14

My name is Buddy a I am 14 years old. The reason why I went to street is that when my parents died I was left alone I had no one to take care of myself so I decided to search for my family members but I could not find any of them.

One day I was extremely hungry and I decided to go and ask for some food to one of our neighbours. When I went to her home I found her husband there, but he wasn`t good. Instead of giving me anything to eat he just took a stick and started beating me on my back. As if I had done anything wrong to him I felt very bad in my heart, but I could not do anything.

I was on the street begging for some money and that is when I met a stranger and he directed me to Grandsons of Abraham. When I reached there I was welcomed well and I was like a stranger and they took me in. From that day onwards I decided to stay and I promised myself that I will work hard with body and soul to achieve my goals.

Sponsoring a child

Consider sponsoring a boy through secondary school. Secondary education in Kenya lasts for a maximum of 4 years and for a total cost of between just £25 to £40 per month (different school fees vary) you could pay for the keep and education of a boy, making an unbelieveable difference to his life. Alternatively, you can sponsor a child to pay for the clothes and food at any amount you would like.

Updates from the sponsored child will be sent directly from Kenya. Donors may also visit the rescue center to see the difference their gifts are making to the children..
