How can I sponsor a street child?
Consider sponsoring a boy through primary or secondary school. Secondary education in Kenya lasts for a maximum of 4 years and for a total cost of between just £25 to £40 per month (different school fees vary) you could pay for the keep and education of a boy, making an unbelieveable difference to his life.
The school fees are vary, from £340 to £530 per year, or more.
We can offer 2 types of sponsorship: Full and Partial.
Full Sponsorship – you can choose a child which you want to sponsor and pay monthly by direct debit £30, £40, £45 or more.
There is also one off payment required for shopping to prepare a boy for school, from £175 to £220. The list of school shopping is presented below.
School shopping includes:
- Admission fee one off – from £30 to £50
- Books (about 20) incl dictionaries and atlas incl geometrical set, fountain pen etc metal box to keep his stuff school uniform x 2, weekend uniforms, tie, t-shirts, sweater, additional school Tshirts etc - usually purchase at school, school shoes, shoe polish and brush, belt, soaks, underwear, shorts x2, sport shoes, bed sheets x2, blankets, mosquito net, metres,
- Toiletries (tooth brush, paste, vaseline, soaps, washing powder, soap pack...) bucket, towels x2, plate, mug, spoon, padlocks, pyjama.
- Plus pocket money deposit at school for shaving, soda, alterations etc.
Partial Sponsorship – you can pay into a pool and partially contribute in a boy education together with the other sponsors. You can pay £5, £10, £15, £20, £25.
You can also donate any amount of money you wish towards education. This will be added to the pool and use for the first boy in need.

What we do
We are differ from other organisations as we offer you a direct communication and personal relation with the child. This gives you more control of how your money is being spent.
We will also keep you informed of child progress and all expenses occurred on a regular basis.
Africa Watoto works with street kids of Mombasa rescued by Grandsons of Abraham Centre. We act for the street boys to seek education for them. We believe that every child has a right to quality education.
While the boys finish their primary education at the Centre, they have nowhere to go. They are mainly orphans and coming from extremely poor families.
Education system in Kenya is not free. That is why we are looking for sponsors to give the boys a chance to continue the education and go to secondary boarding schools.
Our main aim is to provide the high school education for the boys. We are volunteering to do it so there is no administrative cost.
How can I donate?
You can help us change a child's life by donating in many different ways. Your donation will be used according to the needs of the kids and the centre. You can sponsor a child to go to school or you can donate any amount to support them in whatever they need. Please read below the various options of how to donate.
